God In Simplest Things Poem by moon batchelder

God In Simplest Things

Rating: 5.0

god resides in simple things;
the fragrance of rain on the wind

the dazzles of dew drops
like diamonds at dawn,
the delicate glow of the moon,

the taciturn dusk,
the tanager's call
a kiss of salt mist from the sea.

in tiniest sand grain
the spirit abides
and the atom's ubiquity.

Exquisite poem. I am adding this to my favorites. Reminds me of Blake my favorite poet! William Blake - Excerpt from Auguries of Innocence To see a world in a grain of sand, And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, And eternity in an hour.

That's beautiful- a very lovely viewpoint of God and the world, something that I have been pondering for long. God resides in the bees and the flowers, He resides in what we love and what we believe.
