God Holds The Key Poem by Gerry Legister

God Holds The Key

A cold breeze skimmed the atmosphere.
Silent grey stones lined the pathway.
And the streets look empty and bare.
Unchanged from the demise of yesterday.

Silence is the emptiness time has summoned.
A deep desire that inspires a small town.
With higher hopes and anticipation found.
In the hearts who have lost all that they own.

Hurriedly reconnecting to the broken chores.
The mind propelling force beyond reckoning.
Controlling the soul moves on our shores.
And land and seas know God holds the key.

Only through a cloud unveil the mystery.
To see the briefest glimpse of our eternity.
