Glitter / Fated Poem by Aiden Florence

Glitter / Fated

Rating: 5.0

The day I met you was the beginning of my life
It was a sensation of liberation
A phenomenon of fate
That brought us together

We swim together in this bitter sea
Longing for a glittering outbreak
To guide us through the conduit
In a seemingly perfect life

And now the path partitions

Once we split, will we ever meet again
Once we meet, will you still be the same
And it will never be the same
This glitter was fated and there is no light

I’ve become one forlorn soul since you’ve been out of my life
It seems virtually impossible to keep swimming in this bitter sea
Our memories are too heavy and I can’t carry by myself
Ever since you left survival’s become so severe

Will these messages reach you one day
Are you still swimming alone
Do you still recall the glitter we once perceived
Will you wait for me at the end
I’ll keep swimming until we meet again
Wherever you are, our life was fated

I feel a sense of longing. My heart reaches to you. Beautiful piece. Just wonderfully beautifully. You put vain writers to complete shame with this single written work. Please keep it up, you've a real talent. Don't give it up for anything.
