Glass Cage Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Glass Cage

Rating: 5.0

Glass Cage

I was so trapped.
All I could do is frantically knock.
Knock, knock, knock on my,
But my glass cage only rocked.

Though one thing I did benefit by,
Is that I could see the world go by,
And the scenes of the world were good.
The glass cage didn't care but it should.

The glass cage kept me waiting there.
There was not one person who cared.
Life went on here and there.
I yelled out loud everywhere.

But nobody heard me.
All I could do is knock frantically.
No one could even see.
I could only see the world go by without me.
