Giving Up. Poem by Malaika Aman

Giving Up.

Rating: 3.8

They tell me to try try again.

Never loose hope.

But who are they to talk.

Are they living alone?

Seems like a great time.

To just give up.

But afraid of their comments.

As they'll stare with eyes of stone.

I look at my surroundings.

As the wind swishes by.

Now im top of the world.

Going somwhere unknown.

I just take one step.

To my new life.

No longer afraid of what if.

As I will be free to roam.

I keep falling down.

Cutting through my life.

As I feel the cold touch of death.

At last free from the gnawn.

My angry teenaged daughter you have written a nice poem, by passage of time I wish and hope your thoughts will be a little changed.
