Ghost In The Moon Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Ghost In The Moon

With the lights
Spread throughout the city
The only place safe for us
Was beneath the sheets
Lost in the wrinkle of our hands.
The wee hour of the morning
Not that far.
The sun pinched between your skin
& mine
The world now quiet.
I've drowned in your moan
Suffocated, my nose in the crook of your neck.
I can never look at another
the same way.
My ghost in the moon
Your skeletons I'll never tell
I can never look at another
The same way
