Frog And Me Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Frog And Me

Frog and me

No need for the handcuffs nor blinds
No need for chain or cage; water-board
No need for the Chinese torturing by drops
No need for pushing me in drum
No need for going to the Qasr's Cell, its flood.

In morning saw frog
We confess to crime.

Jump, Jump, jump
Find water; go, cross,
The pond is other side.

Why bother explain?
The reason or the why
You never seek the cause
You arrest pull the balls
After death you cry
You are good with your cells
Pay bribes to have them
Syria, Libya, Germany, all around
Your planes have no sign
They carry secretly dead, alive
As if not you own them
Cover, hide phantom-like
Set in hearts dynamites
And blame the blast
On others, right or wrong
Cut the hands, fingers, tongues
Have sex while bark the dogs
And scare, cause fright.

I confess
I confess
I confess
My crime and frog's
Comes from need and thirst…
Thanks to you our plight
Ciphered or in the light.
