Friend Forever
Luminous moon shining brightly
The night so dark and deep
An eerie silence
Chilling, raising goosebumps
An optical illusion
A stranger or my LORD.
Mixed feelings aroused
A smile on your face
Radiant as a dewdrop
An epitome of love
Hands outstretched, inviting
Fear gripped a troubled mind
Shakingly, I clasp your hand.
You kiss my forehead
Wave of peace envelop me
Together we walk in silence
Along meadows where cattle graze
Rows of swaying daffodils
Nightingale singing a love song
A pleasant sight
Paradise Indeed.
You sit on a bench with me at your feet
You touch my curls
I look up at you
Words fail, tongue tied
Love in your eyes overpower me
Eyes locked, mesmerized.
Breaking of dawn
Light shining in my face
I blink my eyes
Sun rays scorching
Jostled by reality
A dream or a miracle.
Your presence linger with me all day
Through ups and downs
Urging me to forge ahead
Kindled a friendship
Friend forever
My LORD and me
Truly Blessed.
