Freedom Poem by Amanda Michelle Norris

Freedom

My desire, my want, my need
Independence
For myself
Freedom from hurt
Clinginess hurts a free soul like mine
Clinginess a burden
You have to let go, if not I’ll soon fly away from you
For I dread the feel of clinginess
The need you, want you attitude
Like a babysitter always watching you
That isn’t love not in my eyes
I want someone independent who when im gone wont pout and whine
I need that one strong wise guy
That knows my heart as well as my mind
It’s a simple task, I must admit for my heart and mind are one
What I think is how I feel and how I feel is what I think
No mystery lies here
Just an open heart, and an open mind
What you see is what you get
