Inhale Poem by Amanda Michelle Norris

Inhale

I inhale allowing all my worries and fears to be drawn into the darkness
I force the air and trap it within, my lungs tempted to set it free but my will dismisses it's plea

I fight to withhold it all within
I weaken and the temptation yearns to be taken
It begs for my strength to be broken and my weakness to be shown

I give in with tears of anguish as the fears and worries are released into the world
I break and the temptation has conquered
