Freedom Poem by Jennifer Gordon

Freedom

Rating: 4.0

I shake
I quake
until I finally wake.
Locked in this box.
too scared to even try to break free.
It is pathetic
yet I let it
Continue on.
The desperation to seek more.
I don't know what to do
when all I think of is you.
You're worse then me.
Atleast that is what I used to see.
Now I don't know so much any more
you have become an old sore.
I blame you for what is wrong.
and keep singing the same old song.
yes it is your fault
but me staying in the same old place
pretending like I am seeking an escape.
I don't know what to do.
So I stay here and keep thinking of you
When I should just rip the walls apart,
and look for a better place to start.
My new life, where you can't reach me.
Then and truly then will I be free.
