Freedom Poem by Nate Orvis

Freedom

Rating: 5.0

Like a chained dog,
We lay, being feed in pretty shiny bowls,
Like a caged bird,
No motivation to fly or reach true goals,

A tower and a half,
Left tumbling towards the earth,
A Queen with her Bishop,
Lying lifeless after a seldom rebirth,

Dare to question,
Authority with an open border,
Rabid pigs,
Running free, careless, commiting murder,

Freedom,
The birds will soar, warm and keen
Sweet, sweet freedom
When were you last seen?

as we seek for freedom, let's not seek it with just our eyes but also with our actions. Obed D.C.
