Fortune Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Fortune

If skies should stop shining
Let your thought be the last thought embraced
The touch of your skin
The way your lips utter the single hush that sliences everything else
If nothing else
Let heaven hear
that streets drenched in gold couldn't begin to compare
to the touch of your soft brown skin
