Forsaken For Your Sake Poem by Asma Khan

Forsaken For Your Sake

Let's go back on the wet sand
where my footsteps followed yours

And cross those paths of destiny
where I came standing right across you

Forget what hurts and what does not
where the lifeless desires ever conceded

Promise me not to think of me again
where I count all days since we met last

Go and plan your arrival on another land
where may the seasons of happiness and glee surround you

Dump anything from the past in this dying fire
where I chuck all sorrows off our ways

Bring me some more to remember and to forget you
where we ever yearned to live in those moments

Pay homage to the dead wishes now
where they once belonged to our hearts

Go far and away from my thoughts
where in twinkling stars I would not find you

No come back no arrival counts
where there is no beat in the hearts within

Be not sad, for its your own good
where nothing reaps on a barren land

Dare not come to see me even my eyes are shut
where you left them wondering in your dust
