Forgiving Poem by David Harris

Forgiving

Rating: 5.0

As we wander through life,
many things are said
and even done to us,
that are hurtful and unkind
that they cause us to cry bitter tears.
What good is revenge?
It can’t take back the hurt there.
Even forgiving can’t ease all the pain.
At least we have the knowledge that if we forgive,
that the guilt goes back to them.

There is a riddle, 'What is the only thing which will be just the same in heaven as on earth.' The answer is the scars on Jesus hands and feet. Because of those scars, praise God, the marks which even our forgiveness could not wipe from us will be gone someday, and only His will remain.
