it funny that they place
forgive and forget
in the same lingo
as neither are easily done
you can do one
but you can't do both
I can forgive
the fact that you left me after
the car accident
we both made me mistakes
i made the bad decision
to get into the car with you
after you had been drinking
lack of better judgement
but I cannot forget that
you played her and I
then you turned on me
like a rapid dog
and bite me in the butt
you chose her over me
after all i had done for you
you left me when i needed you the most
you left me high and dry
i hope at night you dream of me
i hope you look at pictures of me
that when you look at your bed
you think of me
when you have a shower you see me
that one day you realise
you lost the best thing that
could have been

i did not lose but gained
i got a second chance
to see the real you
and i didnt not then like it
you always said that i deserved better
you could not have been more right
i can forgive you for what you did
but I cannot forget
that one of the things that bugs you the most
i am free and happy
it brings a smile to my face
that your out of my life for good
