Forgive
How can you say 'forgive and forget'?
When all that happened will never pass away?
How do I try to forgive without really knowing all that has happened?
So many secrets, so many lies, so many, you can’t even remember them all
How do I forget when the hurt and lies are etched in my memory and haunt me
So what do I do, what can I do
No more pain, no more tears, no more sadness, no more anything
but for now, for myself, I need to forgive
Forgiving without forgetting that is what I entitle myself to do…
