Forget Me Not Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Forget Me Not

Winter and another
Forget me not day,
Her cold winds won't go away.
Snow is falling in distant cities
Plows and shovels, oh so busy.
Out comes my winter coat again,
Bright red to make the day smile.
In spite of promised rain and sleet
For miles and miles in surrounding towns,
Folks strutting about with pouts and frowns.
Winter, winter
Don't you know
Spring is a week away,
Why don't you gooo!
