Forever Lost? Poem by Wies Blaize

Forever Lost?

Rating: 5.0

I am the Fraxinus excelsior, a tree
known as Ash or Yggdrasil
I connect the nine worlds
the center of din is me

Branches reach out to the heavens, three taps
support, they stretch to the wells
and creatures reside in me:
I name dragon, eagle, and stags

I am full of life
life is full of me

I am the Fraxinus excelsior, a tree

Till doom upon my leaves
a chainsaw tackled those roots, my leg
I crave, I am in pain
dying by the full moon

I am the Fraxinus excelsior, the tree
of death

Snap, crack…
