Forever Lost Poem by Wardah Arshad

Forever Lost

It's all so quiet
but suddenly so loud
she sits silently
then fidgets then crouch

'What's happening? '
her mind shouts
it was all so quiet
but suddenly so loud!

Names are screamed
hands are raised
she sits quietly and shivers
hoping for quiet again,

She's forced to listen
to the drumming in her ears
closing the door,
to block out the noise she hears.

Things shes heard, seen and felt
forever she's scarred
and drowned in the heart, which now melts.

Its all so quiet
but suddenly so loud
an important part of her now lost
never to be found.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a story about a girl from a broken home. How in just an instant everything around her changes. And how the most important thing to her(family) is gradually breaking away.
