Forever Locked Away It Won'T Remain (Sonnet) Poem by Andrea Cebrecos

Forever Locked Away It Won'T Remain (Sonnet)

Rating: 4.0

Locked away in its prison it remained
Never to play another note or scale
Never to be taken out of its cell
But for a gentle touch its body pained
Why had the musician abandoned it
When she used to enjoy playing everyday?
She’d told it she would be gone for a bit
That bit had prolonged, casting it away
But it knew that eventually and soon
The prison would ultimately open
The hated loneliness would come to an end
Letting out an intoxicating fume
Of pent up emotions and enjoyment
It would once again play its jazzy tune
