I'm here again, laying awake
Thinking about how it all went wrong
Reassuring myself that I did everything in my power
I did everything that I knew how to do

yet it was never enough to keep her in love with me
I don't feel like there was ever any other outcome
there was never any other way
It seems that we were never meant to be together
and my heart was the one that was fooled

I fell for her
I fell for another beautiful face
and I fell for another beautiful person
I gave her every piece of my heart
and I gave her every ounce of my soul
when she left me she took it all with her

now I lay awake
questioning everything she everything she ever told me
How many times had she lied to me
when she told me that she loved me?
I lay here knowing that every time I said it to her
I meant it with every ounce of my heart

She made me a better man
she made me happier than I had ever been in my entire life
then she left me
she lifted me up so far
just to let me go

now I lay here awake
again
wondering why I do this to myself
over and over
I lay here Falling Forever.
