for writing poetry
for writing good poetry
the way words come to you
like a soaring swallow
a koi in a pond
For some of us
it's more like
pulling a stubborn tooth
waiting for a wayward lover
lost in some distant meadow
to show up
Our wings may be
broken or askew
but we try our best
'but we try our best', good for you, very nice poem, too. Also, very true.
