For Every Tear That Falls Poem by Meagan Slack

For Every Tear That Falls

Rating: 5.0

For every tear that falls
an ounce of resentment goes with it
How could I be so blind
to think that the clouds had gone and the sun had appeard
Well the sun has failed
I was so stupid to love
to give in so easily
To give in to the lie that is but a backwards reflection of what is reality
NO, I do love
It is you who does not
I knew
deep down, I knew
But my stubborn heart would not see it
The unrelenting belief that it could not be so
Now I am in too deep
gave away the one thing that was truely mine away
And in the darkness of my room
a quiet weeping can be heard
Tears shed for one purpose
Forgetting you.
