For Ever Poem by John A. Hancock

For Ever

For ever shall I love thee
For ever shall my heart beat for only you
For ever shall any word I doth scribe
Be words to tell of my endless love for you
For ever shall I adore thy beauty
For ever shall you in my life always reign
For ever shall I be your most noble knight
For ever shall I protect thee from life's
Ups and downs and pains
For ever shall I dream of thee
For ever shall I hold your hand in mind
For ever shall I whisper in thy ear
Sweet songs of love till the end of time
For ever will I place vow upon a simple band of gold
And for ever shall I love thee as my wife
Even when my bones and I have both grown tired and old
