For Ever Poem by Katherine York

For Ever

'Searching'

I stood upon a mountain top,

And saw vistas of pure gold.

I've walked in the deepest valleys,

With no one's... hand to hold.

I've seen eagles soar up in the air,

And come down to light on earth again.

I have seen the deepness of the sea;

And dry places no rain has ever been.

I have walked across the earth...

Saw many paintings God...has made;

I have seen things of much worth...

Others whose value...will soon fade.

In every place that I have been...

I have stopped to seek your face.

Some places I never wish to see again,

My heart longing for just one trace.

So many places I have been...

Thousands of faces I have seen.

But I...cannot remember when...

You weren't a part of my dreams.

Please...please tell me, just where you are;

I will come and find you, whether near or far.

Just know I have never stopped loving you.
