For Carla Poem by Julie Drost

For Carla

My dear friend Carla was diagnosed with intestinal cancer and subsequently went through major surgery to remove a tumor, and all the way through she leaned on God and believed in His healing power. (she's doing well now)

Some people bring light to what ever they see,
some people bring calm to the storm.
Some people give love that always is free,
some people are brave, strong and warm

I’m someone from somewhere who needed your care,
I’m someone who knows you are real,
I’m someone who knows that you hold no despair
That your true heart is what you reveal.

I know that you’ve faced things you didn’t expect
I know you’ve been battered and split,
Still, something about you will always reflect
the Savior to whom you submit.

You know that our Father will always be near
you know that He hears every call.
When you walk down life’s pathway you need never fear
for His love for you won’t let you fall.

This is very good..... A Poem that grips you and takres you along with it! The pace is rather lively that contrasts very well with the subject. Keep posting Julie! Rogerx.
