I wish I could have inspired you
In those days now gone
Those days when our emotions were strong
and we believed that this was where we belonged.

I wish I could have been the song in your heart
Your joy from the start
To the here and now
Without ever having any doubt.

I wish I could have been
Your first love,
Your last love,
Your joy
Your hope and so much more.
I wish that you would have found me sooner
before the world took my heart
And made it raw.

I wish I could have inspired you.
