Footsteps Poem by Taylor Dixon

Footsteps

Rating: 5.0

Don’t follow in my footsteps,
Cause I may trip and fall.
Sometimes - over my own feet,
Or by objects that can’t be seen at all.

Don’t follow in my footsteps,
Take a path of your own.
Don’t be frightened, I believe in you.
Trust me, and take the road unknown.

Don’t follow in my footsteps.
Cause my dreams, are not your dreams.
You must experience life through your own eyes,
Take time to dance under the moonbeams.

Don’t follow in my footsteps.
It’s time to spread your wings and fly,
Go on now, have faith in yourself
The time is nigh.
