Folding In Himself Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Folding In Himself

Folding in himself

She
-I guess
Likes my page
-poetry…
I shiver
-with joy, fun
Just because I am one
-One in mass…
-like pigeons and flies
-Closed-eye on genders
-on nations, on the size
-on them all
-whatever builds a wall

Unlike he and his kind
-who live in penthouses
-in shanties, isolate from us
I have lived with all kinds.
The young men who take guns
-ambush, kill in random
Are same as Donald Trump
-heads in sand and blind
-and of course is our fault
Must teach them; sacrifice
-take them there
-to the edge where life-death is a line
No hate; no sympathy
-follow facts, reality
-love them all
-One by one
-equal

Young man in Quebec and
-in Paris, Israel with trucks
-all around, are the same
-are folded in themselves.
Take them out
-greet them with love, hug
-invite them to a dance…
-share with them good and bad
They will change.
