Flying Birds Of The Air Poem by Chiazo Egbukwu

Flying Birds Of The Air

Flying flying birds of the air
Show me how you fly
Do you jump into the air
And fly or you spread your wings and fly.

Flying flying birds of the air
Teach me how to fly.
So I can fly from place to place
Even beyond the space.

Flying flying birds of the air,
Who repair
Your wings?
On that trembling tree you cling
Didn’t you think you’ll sink?

Flying flying birds of the air
Why not like the eagle fly
Higher higher into the sky
So the house and butterfly can’t compare

Flying flying birds of the air
Why your bones seem so dry?
And your legs so tin no hair?
Ask your ancestors they’ll tell you why.

Flying flying birds of the air
Tell me when you’ll die
So I can come and say goodbye
With my fruits and flowers so fair.
