Flowers From The Rain. Poem by dave lessard

Flowers From The Rain.

Rating: 5.0

Morning walks are my delight
out on the endless plain
made special by the dawn
and flowers from the rain.

Morning glories, blue lupines
they grace the narrow trail
dew-drops cling to dappled grass
the early sun prevails.

Solitude hangs lovely
with purple mountain peaks
the vagabond and his canine
bond in the peace each seeks.

The day first starts with quiet
before the hum of life
before the traffic roars
beginning daytime's strife.

Morning walks are pleasant
on a dirt-filled meadowed lane
with gradual rising of the sun
and flowers from the rain.
