Flesh Of My Heart Poem by Don Nguyen

Flesh Of My Heart

I'm not allowed to write my inmost feeling in the poem notes
So I now place it in the love poem for you.
Looking at you from behind pierces my heart,
For you have turned so thin and frail.
Did love do that to you, my lovely siren?
If I could now materialize my love for you to prevent that,
I would do it in a heartbeat.
But alas, there's a great divide separating us
From seeing each other in this life, hopefully in the next;
For He had said, my Madeleine cannot be a real person to me
In order for the castle of love I am building,
Not on sand but out of my heart flesh.
