Flashbacks Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Flashbacks

Rating: 5.0

I use to look forward to waking
up in the morning, but now I just look
at an empty wall, contemplating
it all. Hoping, praying this day
won't break me. So many
feelings rush into my head as I
yawn and awaken from my bed.
Should I be content or wait to bare?
Hoping my thoughts won't get in
the way. My words are blank, nothing
left to say. If you can't see through me
then you'll never know, because
all of this pain you've given me
........I'm trying not to show.
