First Time Showman Poem by Ann Weber

First Time Showman

Rating: 4.5

First time breaking a crazy calf
First time learning how to care for it too

Great experience for the little kids
They have alot of responsibility too

Waking up early to get the calf ready
Washing, drying, fitting oh my

Getting ready to walk in the showring with everyone watching
Cameras and lights and people watching too

Such an overwhelming experience
The show was fun and I'd love to do it again

Lovely narrative poem, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and penned with insight. Breaking the ice the first time as a showman can indeed so overwhelming. It takes a lot of self confidence to pull the show. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
