First Kiss Poem by new poet

First Kiss

Rating: 4.5

Heart skipping beats
Breathing gets short
Anxiety rises
Is she even the sort?

To put myself out there
No turning back
Is it even worth it?
My pride in a sack

Sitting debating
With no idea when
I plan to attack
To look and lean in

Doub...ts race around
I have no wish to go
Im scared out of my mind
What if she says no?

As im debating
My strategy again
To mya utter surprise
She leans in

The moment we meet
And our lips interlock
Seems like eternity
No need for a clock

Her fingers, they dance
Around in my hair
My mind fails to function
I havent a care

By the time we break
And our lips find our teeth
I realize with shock
Id forgotten to breathe

Theres no feeling like it
Your very first kiss
Its something magical
That you dont want to miss

The feel of her kiss
Ill lock away
In my mind and my heart
Forever to stay
