Fingers Of Conflict Poem by Jack Ranson

Fingers Of Conflict

While soldiers fall
my fingers simulate the conflict
my fingers don't fall

Excitement, bravery, pride
Fear, despair. hope
Emotions contrasted for Fun
for patriotism for recruitment.

There fingers once calm
now trembling upon a curved shard of metal
There fingers will fall

More fingers simulate the conflict
more fingers relive their fall
more fingers will fall

The horrific, crippling, blinding sight
someone reliving conflict
reliving there death.
For Fun

Fighting for your country
watching men die
seeing men die
patriotism, the power you hold.
