Finding The Light Poem by David Self

A look at life through eyes that talk,
But we have to be able to walk.
Life is tough and can be rough,
But a smile a day makes it worth the stay.

We all have stories in our life,
And all have times we all have strife.
But we battle through and some just struggle,
But the help is all around us if we refuse to crumble.

The daylight shines everyday,
The darkness is never here to stay.
We can all shine if we allow ourselves to,
Just believe that and we will always do.

Do the things that seem impossible,
For life is short and we are visible.
We all have someone who is there,
If you we choose to look rather than stare.

When the darkness comes over us,
Remember it is temporary.
For the light will return,
Let the light burn.

For we find the path,
We all find the light.
Even on the darkest night.
