Light Of A Candle Poem by David Self

Light Of A Candle

A flicker of light,
Can be a sight.
When everything seems dark,
Fear Like a sea full of sharks.

The light burns bright,
Oh what a sight.
A candle in a room,
Like a flower into bloom.

It can take the mind away,
From where it could have strayed.
And keeps it thinking,
While the eyes are blinking.

Helps you think,
And not to sink.
Watching it flicker away,
Makes you think it's gonna be better today.

The candle will burn long as you want it to,
And like life we push on like we want to do.
It won't go out until we choose,
So just have faith we won't lose.
