We write to live
Feeling the pain
The love the shame
When put in words
There all the same

In our laughter
In our cry's
On the ground
In the sky's

The feeling is real
The healing is true
Every word feels different
For you and me
And me and you

Putting these days
These months
These years
On paper and machine
To fight our fear

Or to hold it close
So we don't forget
That these words
Are our every breath
