Feast Or Famish Poem by Leonard Dabydeen

Feast Or Famish

Just one morsel of food
to satiate empty spaces
in my growling stomach
I cannot have pity
neither do I have guilt
that you be my feast
at this precious
moment of desire
my need is on fire
I let hot flames
open wide
my gaping jaws
to make you
my relish dinner
come gently
and be at peace
offer yourself
knowing that
your purpose
is my fulfillment.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
And for the woe of our most precious brothers and sisters, the animals, imprisoned here, (as are we) in this Blatant Matrix, who are forced by the laws of the SYSTEM itself to EAT eachother ALIVE here on death row, and to watch helplessly as their own precious young are eaten ALIVE before their eyes, in literally intolerable physical and psychological agony by predators (baby rabbits for example by foxes) with the same hearts as US! A sacrilege, a blasphemy, an obscenity! And the worst catastrophy, bar none (as our hearts know, as our core values know) that has ever happened in the history of Creation.
We evolved most specially, and so courageously, and in such trauma here in in this Blatant Matrix in THEIR name out of crazy love for THEM. BECAUSE this accident-based, big-bang based horror story actually happened in the dense physical, is WHY WE ARE HERE, in the name of our love both for the rabbit, and the fox, as ONE! NO! to the Blatant Matrix! Love WINS! ! ! !
