Fateful Black Curtains Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Fateful Black Curtains

Silent mind soaring into realms of death's loss, leaving me
behind as you were taken beyond those fateful black curtains
of destiny oh, how I wish that I could've accompanied you.

My dear, instead here I am alone and bereft on this empty and
deserted shore of an aging life without you; wondering when we
will be together again in the future.
