Far Too Terribly (Italian Sonnet) 1 Poem by Gert Strydom

Far Too Terribly (Italian Sonnet) 1

Far too terribly I stiFar too terribly I still do you miss,
where it seems to you I do matter not.
No options for another I have got
where no marriage should be anything like this

and I know you in heartache and in bliss,
while alone I do the way of life trod,
until I am buried under the earth's sod.
It's as if I am now always at a abyss

and between us the great and very good
is to all eternity somehow away,
while you do not care how much I do love you
and every word and act of mine is misunderstood,
while destiny acts in my life as it may
and still I am motioned to you to be true.
ll do you miss,
