Fancy Free Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Fancy Free

Fancy Free

It was so much fun
Watching a guy
Who was fancy free.
Oh what glee.

Your gait had a hop and skip in it.
No hurry or worry in it.
You were fancy free
And oh what glee.

Nobody had taught you this
And nobody trained you to be
So fancy free.
I thought you were a joy to watch.

Fancy free walks
Were what you did
And fancy free thinking
Was how you thought.
