# # Family Fabric Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

# # Family Fabric

Rating: 3.0

life and relationship
flourish only in marraige
and in life this relationship
the most vital
could be undone at will...
only this relationship could be undone at will
strange that
parents are no longer seen
as a single entity
children today
see them as individuals
strange to hear a child say
dad...you be happy somewhere
and let mom be happy elsewhere
the X and Y combination's
the WEFT and WARP
the children are
THE FAMILY FABRIC
and if they do not cross
a family is not there

This can happen in any family Samanyan, as sad as it may sound....you have raised an important issue in this poem - Family Fabric...unfortunately children are sometimes too young and immature to see the full picture and it is not fair to place the responsibility of keeping the parents together on them....

A very good write about the family fabric and like Sandra the children usually take the brunt of the divorce which effects them for the rest of their lives. A good write and a very sad subject. Your friend Lynn

Children's discourse is changing; they prefer two happy parents living separately than living toether miserably. Your poem offers a good observation of changing organisation of family structure in our current societies.
