those tiny shiny stars up there
three of them in a triangle sit there
every night i see them from here
wonder what would be their chat up there
from such distance am not able to hear
as a viewer
the sight of it gives me immense peace and pleasure
though i do want to hear
what would be their lovely chat up there......
like lovely dressed tiny girls there
these three seem to me from here
may be they feel shy with the lovely dresses they wear
a minute or two in shyness would be fair
keeping mum a night long for a girl child is very rare
DAINTY DRESSED DARLINGS
the melody of their sweet chat up there
i really miss hearing from here
Dainty Darlings everyone's pet They take our fancy Make us wonder and long How will it be I muse With you, if they but talk! You make me walk With you the milky path! Beautiful!
I can visualize SL lying in the terrace and singing the above verses on those three stars....well done...thank you

Oh how l wish to hear there chat...they are called summer triangle if am not mistaken. You gave me this child like feeling of wanting to stand out like we use to as children and stare at the sky. Just maybe I will also hear what they chat about...beautifully penned...10++++

samanyan It sounds like you have three daughter that are not speaking to you very much. And would like to know more about what is happening in their lives. The three daughters have become distant stars that you still hold deeply. I think the poem is a bit saccharin sounding. Too sweet. But that might be my personal opinion. I have three lost stars as well. I find it is I that needs to pick up the phone to get communication. I like the metaphor of the poem very much. a poet friend RH Peat
