False Face, False Heart Poem by Jessica Sanukab

False Face, False Heart

Faces, faces everywhere
Looking for the truth anywhere
Searching for an answer
Eaten by this cancer

Don't pull me to your level
With your fake face I must wrestle
With your false heart I must feel
And your phony soul reveal

Faces, faces all around
No shred of truth in those I've found
False face must hide what false heart doth know
Your whole world's a stage, I'm watching the show

Your words are like a poison
That seep deep into my core
Can't quit myself of venom
Leaves me stranded on the floor

Faces, faces leave me be
Your ugliness tortures me
