The difference between faith and belief
Is like the difference between a grass blade and a leaf,
They are both designed to to be green and grow
And in the end their true self they will show.
When I loaned a friend a dollar
Because they saw the color or my collar,
I had a true founded belief in them
Because together we had sang a hymn.
My faith in them I did not lack
I had the confidence that they'll pay me back,
And when they never did
That faith in them I then covered up and hid.
Faith involves reliance and trust
And it endures in the face of doubts it's a must,
And faith in them once I had
Now I am a little poorer and sad.
Once I had a faith in them, but not no more
Never again from faith for them will I open a door,
Now I have a belief which before I never knew
Belief, is simply something we hope to be true.
