Fairy Fairy Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

“Grand pa, are you writer”?
I heard little girl in my ears
I want poem on fairy’s tale
The teacher has told me to make one

“On fair’s tale”? I was dismayed
She came near and silently played
I thought it to be great work
How to find simple words?

I started making simple poem
To be easily understood by them
It read and ran as under
The down pour of rain without thunder

“Fairy, fairy where are you?
I am waiting eagerly for you
Come down and play with me
I feel bore and very free

Fairy replied “I am in heaven”
In little time I will come down
“Girls and boys” she told
Come and play with toys

The grand daughter was smiling
She was listening and compiling
Poem for her teacher in class room
I found little flower with blossom

She became happy and delighted
As if some new interest was ignited
She had got some sentences for her poem
She thanked her fairy from heaven
