Fading Away Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fading Away

We are witnessing to live in times,
To find most minds...
Can be easily betrayed,
By a manipulating of facts.
That has the evidence of truth produced,
Attacked in courts.
As those corrupted are given permission,
To disobey and distort...
All laws and rules to do unconditionally.

Although debated when presented,
Not for the substance of it.
But where truth had been found.
And who instigated to know when,
How effective the use of truth...
Could provide a weapon,
To eliminate delusions.
With many refusing what is heard to hear.
To claim it offends and may bring an end,
To lives they would rather keep fantasized!

And these are the days,
When accusations are made...
Against 'whistle blowers'.
Truth knowers.
Facts.
What's up or down.
If the Earth is round.
To argue with others...
Not only is the Earth flat.
But also the Sun And Moon.

We are living to witness these times,
To find most minds easily manipulated.
And easily betrayed.
With a doing to applaud their quality of life,
Fading away to allow on a daily basis!
